The joys of taxes


Paying and filing your taxes is one of the powers typically delegated to your agent in a New York Durable Power of Attorney.


Others include banking, paying your bills, handling insurance claims, applying for benefits, bringing or defending a lawsuit, disposing of your real or personal property, making loans, borrowing money, negotiating business transactions, signing leases and other important financial matters.


A very important document in the event you have an illness or disability or in legal transactions where you cannot be present to sign necessary legal documents.
